It is Kiu Ong Ia or Kao Ong Ia. So, we have 9 people on the show. 8 guests plus 1 crazy host. Don’t let the title of the show fool you. It IS about Kiu Ong Ia. Walking on fiery coals is one of the many rituals for this festival. Of course, besides all that, we also talked about food. Here’s a picture sent in my Dragon Ah Leng.

I like to have thos Gao Ong Ya food so much!!! My favourite! I also manage to take some of the temple and food stall’s photo. I will send to John later and he can publish it.

just visit the 9 Emperor Grandpa Temple last saturday, this time go there is to “pay back” due to last year after pray there…win 1st prize 4D…so to say thank you and was promise to burn Big Joss Stick (Leng Hiao) since last year but the temple just will re-open during these 9 days celebration, so force me to wait for 1 whole year…in KL here cant burn single Big Joss Stick (Leng Hiao) like what i still remember in Penang,here must burn a set of 3 (Left Center Right)…will cost RM 300+- (KL’s law and i found that there are no “single” stand provided there, all the stand there is for 3 Big Joss Stick)… i think next year i will bring my own “leng hiao” stand…and Special Order Custome Made my single 10 foot Dragon Joss Stick from Penang…wakaka…

last time in Penang my family business is Kedai Menjual Barang-Barang Sembayang… so i still remember a Leng Hiao (Dragon Joss Stick) may measure up to 12 ft , 10 ft, 8 ft, 6 ft, 3ft… last time we use motorcycle to carry 3ft to 6ft Leng Hiao…for 8ft to 12ft will need to use the lory…

In Taiping, the temple that I go to for this Kow Ong Yah religious celebration, the “teng” is called “ko teng”. Also, the celebration back there is massive perhaps at par with the standards in Penang (this I am not too sure because I’ve never attended the one in Penang).
