PGHK #156 Pang Sai Chuah

Jul 28, 2008 | Podcast | 7 comments

This post should have the corrected audio file. Thanks for letting me know about the missing chunk in the middle. It was a technical issue that happened during the upload.

Guests: Motoleng, Wiwiwawa, Lau Sai & Jepun Kia

When you think that we are out of topics, well, think again. I bet you have not seen this very often on any other radio stations or TV stations. We are talking about toilet paper!
Listen to our guests sharing their tips on wiping and their favorite brands of toilet paper. But of course, there are a lot more than that. Whether or not you care to know, we are presenting them to you with our regular craziness.

Already in Spain all–black Renova Negro toilet paper is available and selling for ten times the price of the average European tissue.

In Japan a new brand is infused with pineapple enzymes to counteract odor.

In Germany Charmin comes in black and charcoal–gray packaging “with a Gucci look and feel,” according to Procter & Gamble’s European division.

I’m sure Gucci’s delighted with the association.

In Canada a premium triple-ply toilet paper named “Cashmere” has become that nation’s number one brand. 😀

John, the toilet bowl that squirt water to wash the backside is called a “bidet”. It is a French invention. Wiwiwawa’s story about the shit on the wall reminds me of an ex-collegue’s solution to a problem posed earlier. He said if after doing your business and you discover to your horror that there’s no water or toilet paper, fear not, just “cheet piak”, i.e. rub your backside against the wall. By the way, anybody experience doing an enema? It would be an interesting related topic.
