I saw b4 my grandma IC which is red colour eh, her address is from Java, Indonesia . I still remember that time I very2 small nia. Later she go and change to the blue liao lo with our Penang home addr.

Question: I have mykad done when I am 21st since than I heard need to change again because when I get mine done the chip is fake one (or not working), is that true?

As for me I only change the card once on 18. I directly change it to my card. I still remember that the government say that they will fine people that did not change the old ic to the new my card.

I remembered few years back, Astro device allow us to check our Mykad data fields (i forget which channel to tekan liao, but that time the channel is 2 digit number) and then my mother and my eldest sister get an error in religion field where stated as “Islam”. They both have to re-do their Mykad then.
And now, Astro channel has change to 3 digit number, so I dunno what channel to “tekan” to perform this checking liao, anyone know? Pls tell me.

I live in Australia, my IC was stolen last year and I rang up the customer service number on the JPN website https://www.jpn.gov.my/BI/2_4_3_ganti_ic_hilang.php and told them what had happened. All I had to do was to tell them my lost IC number, it was replaced within 2 weeks and was collected by my sister in Penang with an authorization letter from me. Hope this helps – tanny

Hope this will help 2, I lost my IC September last year, rang JPN up they told me bring together with the police report from here( Currently i m resident of Australia). So just check ring them up before u go back to Malaysia see what document you need to bring along and write down the person u spoke to.
I went to Penang to get it done, it take about 1 month time to ready, that time also Raya public holiday. They told me if go to cyberjaya do your IC, it can be ready by a day. They also didn’t ask me to pay for any penalty, FOC…
Remind you before you plan to go please check of public holiday, as Malay are very lucky have a lot of day off….
