Unfortunately, I haven’t heard back from them since the show. So, no pictures or logos of Gama.
But you’ll still get to hear the history and some insights of Gama, a place I used to go every Sunday when I was a child.

hana,,,i worked there part time imacolor~ now still ada… heheheh….my frens and boss still work there. heheh..
McDotta still exist in SP, months back I was in SP with my family and saw this restaurant the sign boards in brown color and the chicken logo still remain. I saw the shop interior a bit run down and dark did not went in. Last time I remember in BM Taman Mutiara still have 1 Mcdotta and now turned to clinic dei….
Gama grocery department is my all time fav even after opening of all cold storages. The clothing department has changed over the last 10 years I think. But the four leaves bakery still there. Not sure if French fries guy still selling those cone shaped wrapping frnch fries with salt and ketchup in front of gama, also all time fav. The Indian guy who man the elevator still there, I think he has been there for 20 years, since I was a child and now I am mother of 2!!!
Used to be my late mother favorite place. As a child I also participate in their child model search or something like that, I get to go to the office level, I think 5 th floor and do catwalk with a doll in my hand. Oh all those memory…… Once the elevator open at ground floor, I still remember the gama scent.
Gama Poh, Gama a bit tough for parking leh? actually is there any alternative parking area? the basement area always full… 🙁
Thanks for these tips. One thing I also believe is that credit cards presenting a 0% interest rate often entice consumers in zero interest rate, instant approval and easy on-line balance transfers, but beware of the top factor that may void the 0% easy street annual percentage rate and to throw you out into the terrible house in no time.
U knw boh John, it’s been probably 8-10 years I never “step in ” to Gama leh! But, last Saturday (7th Jan 2012) I went. Real damn lucky me and Xiao Kia can get basement car park wo, somemore is super near to lift. And u knw what….when the lift’s door is open ………. OMG! still got one uncle sitting on the stool to jaga lift (clap clap clap). The 1st thot that comes in my mind is “Yoh! so long dy, Gama still practice this method, real thumbs up lah”.
Anyway, we both + my lil girl, we dined in at the “4-leaf” cafe. that was our dinner lah tu! after that, we did our grocery shopping (i purposely do it at Gama where all the while I do it at Gaint). I went up to the 5th floor cos Lady Gama said got 5th floor liao ma. Hmm….still can smell the brand new aroma kok!
Xiao Kia beli 2 long pants and shirt for CNY. Me pulak look see look see for shoes. Well, sudah targeted a few, but not enough time for me to choose cos Gama sudah chase us out! Cos sudah sampai time to close shop! wakakaka…
Nevermind Gama, I will “attack” u on 14th Jan again!
We didn’t look for Lady Gama cos I was thinking she must be back home kua cos our time in Gama is 7pm till 10pm wo. She probably left Gama lo…Also if we want to say “haloo” to Lady Gama, we also dunno how to paging her wo cos dunno she is Miss what and what wo, or can we paging her by her nickname “Lady Gama”…LOL!
Anyway, thanks Lady Gama for letting me knw that Gama got new outlook.
I also remember the fries uncle, with the kacang putih pack and the tomamto sauce!!!! O… I miss those days!!!
There was also the chocolate rumb balls, in the bakery section at the front of the entrance, back in early 90’s and they removed that section later on. I miss so so much, always wanted to get my mum to buy them for me but i never ended up finishing the whole thing because the chocolate it’s a bit too rich. haha
