I know him. We correspond through mail. He’s genius and he’s NEVER been to Penang. He lived in Taipei and Xiamen before. He decided to drop Chinese Hokkien because it’s pretty much a dying dialect now but Penang Hokkien is still alive. We should keep it fun and vivid !
Please invite him – he told me he was going to contact you when he was ready. I think it’s about time now ! Heh-heh……
Siok liau siok liau……Chi-le ang-mO si WA! What a surprise I got when I opened up the PGHK website today. Actually I was getting around to asking Ah-John about coming on some time, but was still tam-poh phaiN-se because a-bue an-ne ho koh! Koh-u u-le-si lu-lang kong an-ne khuai, wa be-hiau thiaN.
You have all been great teachers over the past few years without knowing it..I’ll tell you more in Hokkien about it some time soon. BTW watch out for some more videos soon on the same site, my friend Sim just came to visit me here and we made some more. I’ve been trying to write a bit in PGHK too in on a blog, tapi chui-kin pun-tua khi bo sia ha-mih liau.
