I know this might be a sensitive topic for many, but I want to share a bit of what happened during this past election season in Malaysia. I don’t feel like Penang Hokkien is a right place for political discussions because I want Penang Hokkien to be a place for everyone. It doesn’t matter what your political views are, we just want to have fun here and have a good laugh, while keeping our Hokkien dialect alive.

Hello mikujohn, ” lu ho bo” ? Just want to say that this episode is very good. One of the best among the last 10 episode i should say. Listening to all the good hokkien, feel like back home in kopitiam or night hawker listening to the neighbouring table chit chatting. Only penang lang or malaysia lang will understand what is Mr root and GE, almost like a secret language that only malaysian hokkien speaker know. Good show~~!!!!!!!

      Some forwarded sms to share…

Panas ku sangka hingga ke petang,
      Rupanya hujan di tengah hari,
      Kelantan ku sangka mudah ditawan,
      Rupanya ku hilang lima negeri,
      Sungguh malang nasibku ini,
      Tiada kampung tiada negeri,
      Penang negeriku ditawan DAP,
Tak tau ke mana nak bawa diri,
      Ada baiknya ku undur diri,
      Bagi peluang kepada Khairy,
      Sambil ku tumpu kepada isteri,
Manalah tau kot kot dapat baby.

Thats very judgemental la… u didnt even listen to the discussion, how u know it is stirring up a fight? Look who is talking about childish?~! Look who is stirring up a fight?
      I am soooooooooo lost.
My nick name is TuaPuiPoh, people call me that, does that mean i am gonna go banana???I name myself that~!!!
Urghh… i just cant stand stupid people who think they are mr or mrs know it all..

TuaPuiPoh, the entire message was written by me. I should have just removed the message entirely. I think it’s confusing you because you think that it was referring to your post. I was commenting IN his/her comment about calling names to the government and taunting the losing of the Penang state. Which I think is childish and unnecessary. Sorry for the confusion.

    7. TuaPuiPoh

hahaha ok.. since u deleted that post, u want to delete my previous post too?
Dont wanna look like an idiot, hehehe…

    8. Shuahuan (Keven Loo)

my Idol is GE…coz i saw him fall before and now become penang VIP…
hope he will do well and win again in the next election…
than penang will still is a good place for chinese ppl…
the malay sms post by Siao Cha Bor is also sensitive…
coz the name start with “K” is our PM’s Son in-law…
so miku you may also remove that comment…
      Tua Pui Poh…
      that sms means…
      Penang already Rule by Chinese…
so he dono where to stay now…

the SMS was not written by SiaoCharbor. But the post was just pointless taunting and name calling. Causing racial devide is another thing that is against my beliefs. I don’t care how we were treated, but being racist doesnt help. Plus, this person left only a fake email. If he/she is brave enough to say such stupid things, she/he should own it up. But I still won’t let this stay. This is exactly like what said in the show. Only causing chaos without being constructive. I just said that the new DAP candidates are mostly educated, now let’s not ruin it for everyone. I didn’t delete only because it was sensitive. Let me do my own judgement. Thanks. 🙂

Politics? Arrrggggg no ngam me…… I really Anti politics lor…… Sometimes i just dont understand still got ppl wanna join it? haiz…..

    11. Siao Cha Bor

Please remove my poem if any of you find it sensitive. I just wanna share the poem which i got thru sms from some unknown numbers. It was meant just for fun. Peace. I am not a registered voter, and never plan to register anyway. Haha. I am with taugeh.

    12. Miku John

      Don’t worry.

As I stated in the show. I am not going to use Penang Hokkien as a platform for politics. It’s a place where we all come here to be crazy and have an hour of fun every week. I don’t want to create any more politics. As it is, with so many listeners, it’s already unavoidable to have differences in opinions. I don’t want to drag this into the picture. The main goal is have fun while promoting the usage of Hokkien.

Secondly, I am only removing comments that has NO POINTS. If it is criticizing the government, that’s fine by me. But if you’re only calling the government names and taunt the government that they are the loser and calling them names, and inducing racial devision. Then that is just nuisance. And I don’t want to have it on my site.

I hope you see the distinctions between the childish name-calling and being a good citizen and criticize the government for their flaws so that the country can be a better one for everyone. Not just a select group of people.

    13. Ah Tox

mmmmm…….thats why whatever or whenever there is a politic topic be it for fun only and not really for any serious talk on politic…..but just a word “Politic ” nia….sure will created some niusance eh…So i thing the best PGHK never even have any show on “Politic” issue be it for fun or whatever in order to avoid the unwelcome misunderstanding about the show purpose .Just my 2 cents.:-)

    14. Miku John

Ah Tox, tankiu for your “noh puat”. I appreciate it, and I agree. I’ll look at it case by case. Hence I’m closing off that show for those I have had chats with previously.

    15. Tu nui

I dun really care which party rules the country or state, as long as they rule it with right policy. When rocket won our state, i celebrated alone in a bar of miri, hoping the new government will have the greatest support from all the penangite. Also hoping my family will have peaceful and wonderful life in that small, cute and beautiful island.
