this topic is interesting, and really bring back many memories of recess time. I like the Peng Hwa “dried koay teow” too, the best one i ever had. I also liked to buy wantan(50sen/packet) from wantan-mee stall and then dip in Hokkien mee soup. Scrumptious!! Once, i bought a plate of wantan mee, put on table and went to buy drink, then came back to find a crow eating my wantan-mee, very angry!! Ohhhh…. how i wish to go back to school canteen again….(^-^)

I used to order the chai kueh from the canteen owner at 10.30 am…I have to run 3 – 4 blocks to reach the canteen…..and the noodle soep is so simple…just few strands of noodles in a bowl and few spring onion and hot soep in the bowl…It was only for 30 sen..so cheap and so simple and yet delicious… :p
