   With my last few visits to my beloved hometown in Penang (whether it be winter or summer in the western hemisphere), I’ve realized that most of the beachgoers along jalan batu ferringhi now are locals-which is an awesome thing; but, what happen to the tourists who used to hit up the beach so much? Also, there are a few hotels closure along jalan batu ferringhi, with just 1 new opening (hardrock). Is tourist industry in Penang slumping? I am also saddened to see that some of the beachgoers seemed not care about keeping our beaches in Penang clean and free of trash. On my last trip back a few months ago, I saw few family picnics on the beach and when they left, they just left the plastic bags and newspapers on the beach without cleaning up the area they occupied. Have we grown accustomed to that? I love Penang and wish that habits like would stop.

    I will surely pick some up when I go back to Penang again in a few months, maybe even bring a couple of cases and freeze them here in Cali. Thanks for the suggestion. Tchuss.
