We have an old and a new guests on the show to talk about old buildings of Penang. We talked about Malay, Chinese, Indian, business style houses and buildings. Are you still living in one of these houses? I hope some of these old houses will be preserved as we develop into a modern society.

David Brown is a restaurant in Penang Hill formerly Old Teahouse at the top of the hill.
the step at the door there cannot step must cross over is because of respect
whenever u cross through you were like bowing and mostly they put their ancestor place there.. so it’s like paying respect to their ancestors..
I changed my mind. I wanted to celebrate my birthday with my family and listeners too.
Hi John,
I’d recommend Roti Bakar (at Times Square). The mall is rather desolate but the food and roti kaya at Roti Bakar is yummy. And this place is the real deal: https://www.what2seeonline.com/2009/02/penang-food-roti-bakar-at-campbell-street/
Have fun on your trip home.
That word you couldn’t remember for the stone threshold of the main door….was it mûi-hók?
