I’m good in 7 stones too. We played everyday before UPSR since teachers stop teaching before the exam. We have our own point counting system:
You have to take the stone in sequent (1 stone,2 stones,3 stones) in order to gain 10 point before you weigh. You can take (1 stone, 5 stones or two stones, 4 stones) but no 10 extra points.
We usually take 1 stone, 2stones with tick-tock and 3 stones with tick-tock-tiak . This will help you to gain 10 point for getting 1,2,3 + 10 points for tick-tock + 30 points for tick-tock-tiak. You can also take 2 stones with tick-tock, 4 stones with tick-tocktiak-tick. This will get you 10 points for tick-tock + 100 points for tick-tock-tiak-tick.
With this point counting system we can played up to few thousand points in a day. it’s fun…

We used to play one leg a lot especially during Fridays as the class start only at 2.00 pm for the muslims to go to mosque. Anyone played spiders? I used to catch spiders a lot with my friends among the bushes that have two leaves stuck together. Kept them in match boxes and catch flies to feed them. We would fight them with other friend’s spiders to see which one win. Remember the female ones are usually bigger size and they are black in color. Also eat tee teng lea (nail cockle) after school in the evening when a Ah Pek came and park outside my school. 20 cents a plastic bag with lots of tee teng lea with a dash of soy sauce. Miss those carefree days when I was a kid.

Sure, we can play! We can even plan to have 7 liap buah to be played in public by many people and create the record in Malaysia Book of Record. Hahahaa… I remember played a lot of kalituei. I organized our own inter-housecompetition of kalituei as well because in form 4 we challenge between houses (blue, green, red and yellow houses) not only in sport day but also normal day in these games (kalituei, tiao gao dong sen, 7 liap buah etc)

i thought only girls played with the 7 liap buah n also the rubber band string cos ive never seen guys playing with that b4 hehe… so suprise that guys also play with this there is also this game where u draw 6 squares on the floor then u have a stone which only belongs to u , u throw the stone on the square then u jump with one leg over all the squares then the routine is repeated till u have finish throwing on all the 6 squares after that u can throw ur stones backward without looking by standing at the end of the 6 squares the box which ur stones landed will belongs to u no other player can jump on that box except u…..then u have mata tui chat (police catch thief) ,tau bee lang (hide n seek), we also played with leaves hehe 😛 when the wind blows we need to catch the leaves which are falling down ..not easy …then we have 4 tiang where each person with one tiang one person in the middle need to steal the tiang from the other 4 when the 4 are switching places,we also play 1 2 tali som n jing ku pang…..n lots more which i cannot remember rite now…

john ur 7 liap buah tournament will work out n i think u will be the winner since u know how to play so well….we actually can have a gathering playing all this childhood game it will really be fun…..
